Time To #UpgradeYourWorld!
If you have a device running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, chances are you’ve seen the reserve option on the lower right end of your taskbar. If you’ve confirmed through this icon, congratulations! Your upgrade must already be downloading and soon you’ll receive a notification that the 3GB file is ready.
July 29, 2015 is the global release date of Windows 10 and in the Philippines, the media launch-slash-lunch was at Hole in the Wall, Century City Mall, the home of upgraded comfort food.
Mae Rivera-Moreno, Business Lead for Windows Products of Microsoft Philippines, along with host Bianca Valerio demoed the features of the new OS. The most notable for me was Microsoft Edge. It’s a very light and fast browser that could actually redeem the company in the browser game. I definitely would be able to use its reading mode and the way I could grab a site, add highlights and doodles, and share it to show what I exactly mean to anyone.
After the upgrade on tablets, desktops, and laptops, the next thing we should look forward to is the upgrade on Windows Phones. Once Windows 10 is available on phones, the whole experience would come full circle. Microsoft believes that the best screen is the screen in front of you. This is why apps are universal and they adjust depending on the connected device that you are currently using.
The best application of the OS upgrade is the way it enables people to do and create. That afternoon, Windows 10 Brand Ambassadors Efren Penaflorida, Myrna Padilla, Dan Matutina, and Dominic Co shared how Windows help in pushing what they can do further, helping them create epic things in their fields.
Indeed, there is no logical reason not to upgrade to Windows 10. If you want something better, if you missed the familiar, even if you have a device that you’ve been using for years, take time to opt in. For sure, the download and the upgrade is worth it!
