Opening this October 21, with shows until the 23rd, Ballet Philippines, with the ABS-CBN Orchestra will be staging Crisostomo Ibarra, based on Noli Mi Tangere, and Simoun, based on El Filibusterismo. This is in commemoration of the 120th death anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal and the 125th anniversary of the publication of El Filibusterismo. Meet the top-notch collaborators below:

Paul unites his varied interests and experience in the arts in the service of dance. He studied dance with Ballet Philippines as a scholar and member of the pioneer batch of Ballet Philippines II under Agnes Locsin, concurrently while pursuing his college degree. He founded Dulaang Talyer (Theater Workshop) upon his return from England in 1994 for which he was Artistic Director until 2002. From 2003, Morales served as Artistic Director of independent professional dance company Airdance, Aliw Awards’ Best Dance Company (Modern/Contemporary) in 2007 and 2008. He is one of the founders of the Contemporary Dance Network Philippines, was festival director of the 5th Wifi-Body contemporary dance festival and was chair of the Choreographers Network of the World Dance Alliance-Philippines. Widely experienced in musical stints, Joed continues to receive invitations, citations, and awards from local and international festivals, competitions, and organizations for his various outputs in concerts, theater, film, and dance - most recent is Outstanding Music Direction for Mabining Mandirigma at the 2015 PHILSTAGE Gawad Buhay Awards. In 2015, he also composed the music for “Kanser@35 The Musical” for Gantimpala Theater Foundation. Currently, Joed is full time faculty and Academic Adviser of Centro Escolar University Conservatory of Music, an active member of Asian Composers’ League Philippines, a Red Card member of the Philippine Choral Directors Association, and ExeCon Music Committee Member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts for a second term.
