Olivier Winner for Best Play, Blackbird, to be Staged by The Necessary Theatre on September 1

Theater greats Bart Guingona and Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante are set to play the roles of Ray and Una in David Harrower's Blackbird.
Blackbird delves into the complex consuquences of statutory rape. Ray has served his time and Una comes across him by accident 15 years after the incident. Both dealing with the reality of what happened, complex questions are given complex answers as Una tries to unravel how she truly feels and try to come to terms to what they are now.
