I have to confess that I am not well-versed in Cats speak. I have read about it but the concept never really dawned on me so upon seeing it on stage by a wonderful cast that was more than committed to their roles, I was fully in awe! One could say that the whole production comprises of one production number after another. The story may be summarized in a paragraph but the whole show writes itself page after page. We’re lucky to be provided with the Broadway stage and the updated costumes. Even from afar, you would see details and as the cats go through the aisles, you may catch glimpses of how exquisite each feline is designed. I was lucky to see the make up of one of them up close when the actor stared straight into my eye for about five seconds and I was entranced! Of course, we have to talk about Joanna Ampil!
