We Will Rock You Makes Its World Premiere In Manila!

The production plays for a limited season and must close on November 20th.

A new re-imagined production of the iconic Ben Elton & Queen musical We Will Rock You finally opens at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, Manila. This production, directed and choreographed by Olivier Award nominee Nick Winston, is launching a multi-year international tour, and audiences worldwide will surely enjoy this dynamic new interpretation. “I’m so grateful to the Producers for supporting my vision for We Will Rock You. Science Fiction isn’t a genre you get to explore often in Musical Theatre, and I’ve had so much fun bringing this dystopian world to life with my extraordinary cast and creative team,” shares Mr. Winston.

GMG Productions, whose headquarters are in Manila, also looks forward to producing the show in Singapore, opening on January 5th, 2023, and in New Zealand in June 2023.

“GMG Productions is incredibly excited to debut our production of We Will Rock You in Manila. The original production has been seen by over 20 million people worldwide. We can’t think of a better title to come back with after such a long intermission,” said GMG Productions CEO and We Will Rock You producer Carlos Candal. “GMGP has had its sights on markets outside of the Philippines for some time, so we are thrilled to be bringing We Will Rock You to Singapore and New Zealand, two markets we plan on bringing a lot of content to over the next few years. Manila is where it all started, but we are focused on expanding into the rest of Asia Pacific.”



We Will Rock You follows two revolutionaries trying to save rock’n’roll music in a post-apocalyptic world. In an age where algorithms predict our every preference, We Will Rock You is a musical for our time: a fist-pumping, foot-stomping anthem to individuality. This brand-new international rock-powered production features 24 of Queen’s biggest hits. Including Killer Queen, Under Pressure, We Are the Champions, Radio Ga Ga, I Want to Break Free, Don’t Stop Me Now, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, and, of course, the inimitable We Will Rock You. With a futuristic styled set by Tom Rogers, video backdrops by Douglas O’Connell, and fabulous new costumes from Sarah Mercade, this is sure to be an absolute smash hit.

The season will run from October 28th to November 20th, 2022. Performance times from Tuesday to Friday are at 8 PM. On Saturday and Sunday: 1 PM and 7 PM. Get discounted rates on Tuesday performances!
