WWE Legend TAJIRI to Compete in Manila Wrestling Federation's Republika 2023

Manila Wrestling Federation (MWF) is set to host its annual event, MWF: Republika 2023, and it promises to be one of the biggest in the history of the Filipino wrestling scene. The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 30, at 4:30 PM at Power Mac Center Spotlight PMCS Blackbox in Circuit Makati. Fans of wrestling in the Philippines eagerly anticipate this event, featuring one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, TAJIRI.

The Japanese Buzzsaw TAJIRI has won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship several times and has also held the Tag Team Championship with wrestling legends Eddie Guerrero and William Regal. He will be facing one of MWF's rising stars, Bro. Jomar Liwanag, in the ring. Liwanag has been a fan favorite since his debut in 2017. His portrayal of a comedic-yet-sinister character of a Pinoy religious zealot and cult leader has won the hearts of many.

Another event highlight will be the defense of the unique "Jeepney Belt" by current MWF Pinoy Wrestling Champion Fabio Makisig against fellow MWF pillar Nigel "Suplex" San Jose. Makisig has previously faced TAJIRI twice, with the Filipino wrestler winning the second encounter.

The event will also feature a triple threat showcase featuring "Mr. Philippine Wrestling" Jake De Leon, the "Queen of Philippine Wrestling" Crystal, and Fil-Japanese wrestler Yappy from the Japanese wrestling promotion Ice Ribbon—other fan favorites like El Katipunero with Super P, Aaron Liwanag with Bro. Benny Soriano, CJ Serafin, Danny Zamora, Dabid Ravena, Khayl Sison, Migs Valdez, Frankie Thurteen, Razael, and Ken Cifer, St. John Martin, Robin Sane, and Main Maxx will also be in attendance. Surprise special guests may also appear alongside newcomers led by Chelsea Marie and Isaiah Valencia.
