Alice Reyes Dance Philippines Opens 2025 Season with PAGDIRIWANG: A Celebration of Dance and Artistry

Alice Reyes Dance Philippines (ARDP) is set to launch its 2025 season with PAGDIRIWANG: Sayaw Alay sa Sining, a mixed-bill program highlighting the company’s exceptional versatility and artistic depth. Scheduled for April 4 and 5, 2025, with performances at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM at The Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater, this highly anticipated production promises an evening of masterful performances that bridge tradition and innovation in dance.

Now in its fourth season, ARDP continues its mission to elevate Philippine dance, presenting a diverse repertoire that spans classical ballet, neoclassical, modern, and contemporary works. Featuring distinguished choreographers and a special performance by renowned ballerina Candice Adea in her final Philippine stage appearance, this season opener is poised to be a landmark event in the local arts scene.

PAGDIRIWANG will feature works from National Artists for Dance Alice Reyes and Lucrecia Kasilag, as well as internationally acclaimed choreographers:

    A compelling interpretation of Nick Joaquin’s Summer Solstice, exploring themes of tradition, female empowerment, and transformation.

  • Muybridge/Frames (Contemporary) – Choreography by Denisa Reyes, Music by Philip Glass

  • C’est La Cie (World Premiere, Neo-Classical) – Choreography by Augustus ‘Bam’ Damian III
    A new creation that highlights ARDP’s technical excellence and dynamic range.

A key highlight of PAGDIRIWANG is the farewell Philippine stage performance of Candice Adea, one of the country’s most celebrated ballerinas.
