Mark your calendars for October 26, 2023, at 6:00 PM, as the FEU Auditorium transforms into a stage for the timeless tale of La Traviata.

The Story Behind La Traviata:
La Traviata, an opera composed by Giuseppe Verdi, premiered in 1853 at the La Fenice Opera House in Venice. The title, meaning "the fallen woman," centers around Violetta Valéry, a courtesan torn between love and sacrifice. The narrative unfolds the passionate love between Violetta and Alfredo, complicated by societal expectations and familial obligations. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, the multi-awarded prima ballerina, has transformed this classic opera into a captivating ballet, bringing the story to life through the language of dance.

The Opera Singers:
Three exceptional opera singers—Anna Migallos, Nomher Nival, and Roby Malubay—will grace the stage with their breathtaking performances.

Anna Migallos (Soprano):
Anna Migallos, with a voice described as "liquid gold," is a soprano whose repertoire spans from playful Mozart to impassioned Puccini. Hailing from the US, Anna's journey in music began at a young age, leading her to earn scholarships and accolades. Her operatic roles include iconic characters such as Violetta (La Traviata) and Mimi (La Boheme). With a Master's degree from the Royal College of Music in London, Anna's performances have captivated audiences in prestigious venues worldwide.

Nomher Nival (Tenor):
A tenor graduate from the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, Nomher Nival has garnered numerous accolades, including First Prize at the National Music Competitions for Young Artists. His major roles, including Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and Alfredo in La Traviata, showcase his exceptional vocal talent. Nival's international exposure includes participation in the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan, where he worked with renowned conductors and artists.

Roby Malubay (Baritone):
Roby Malubay, a bass-baritone singer and voice teacher, adds his rich and powerful voice to the ensemble.
