Miss Saigon's Manila Melody Continues: New Dates Unveiled!
In a thrilling response to the overwhelming demand witnessed during pre-sale, GMG Productions has just dropped the curtain on an exciting announcement: Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Boublil & Schönberg’s Miss Saigon is extending its run in Manila! Originally scheduled to close on April 21, 2024, the musical extravaganza will now captivate audiences until May 5, 2024.
Carlos Candal, CEO of GMG Productions, shared the exciting news with palpable enthusiasm. "Due to the incredible demand for tickets to Miss Saigon, we've made the exciting decision to extend its run in Manila. The passion of the Manila audience is the driving force behind this, and we're thrilled to offer more people the chance to experience the classic production," he exclaimed.
Miss Saigon boasts music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French lyrics by Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. The new production is in the capable hands of director Laurence Connor, with musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt. The creative team includes production design by Totie Driver and Matt Kinley based on an original concept by Adrian Vaux, costume design by Andreane Neofitou, lighting design by Bruno Poet, projections by Luke Halls, sound design by Mick Potter, and orchestrations by William David Brohn. Music supervision is led by Alfonso Casado Trigo and Guy Simpson.
