Miss Saigon Manila Run Further Extended Until May 12

Great news, theater enthusiasts! GMG Productions is thrilled to share that due to the overwhelming response from the Filipino audience, Cameron Mackintosh’s highly acclaimed production of Boublil & Schönberg’s MISS SAIGON in Manila will be extended until May 12, 2024, at The Theatre at Solaire. This final extension promises an additional week of enchanting performances for everyone who has been eagerly awaiting the classic production.

Carlos Candal, CEO of GMG Productions, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We’re beyond thrilled with the excitement and enthusiasm that the Filipino audience has for Miss Saigon, that we’ve now made the decision to extend the production for one more final week. We’re eager to welcome more people to be able to experience the classic production.”

The Asian Tour, led by GMG Productions, boasts an exceptional cast with Abigail Adriano as Kim, Seann Miley Moore as the Engineer, Nigel Huckle as Chris, Laurence Mossman as Thuy, Kiara Dario as Gigi, Sarah Morrison as Ellen, and Lewis Francis as John.

Adding a local touch to the international ensemble, Manila auditions held in January introduced Anderson Bonita, Keone Buenaluz, Dylan De Ocampo, Enzo Isaac, and Cassidy Lorenzana, who will portray the character of Tam.

Miss Saigon, featuring music by Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, has been adapted from the original French lyrics by Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. Under the direction of Laurence Connor, the production showcases musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt. The intricate production design by Totie Driver and Matt Kinley, based on Adrian Vaux's original concept, is complemented by costume design by Andreane Neofitou, lighting design by Bruno Poet, projections by Luke Halls, and sound design by Mick Potter. William David Brohn handles orchestrations, with music supervision by Alfonso Casado Trigo and Guy Simpson.
