Puccini, regarded as the greatest opera composer after Giuseppe Verdi, led an intriguing and sometimes controversial life. His works like Tosca, La Bohème, and Madama Butterfly are among the most frequently performed operas today. At this centennial event, you'll gain insights into Puccini's life, music, and enduring impact from leading experts:
  • Radio host and annotator Joanna Go will delve into Puccini's biography and artistic legacy.
  • Dr. Renato Lucas, President of the National Music Competition for Young Artists, will discuss Puccini's influence on opera in the Philippines.
  • His Excellency Marco Clemente, Italian Ambassador to the Philippines, will explore the importance of opera in the 21st century.
